I’ve been working as an UX Writer for several years now and have never regretted taking this step. Before that i was a UX Designer and a digital project manager.
So why did i jump over to UX Writing? Because this job combines the two things I love so much: Creativity and writing.
But what exactly is UX Writing and why is it so important? To understand that, we need to take a step back and talk about what UX is.
UX, or “User Experience”, refers to the overall experience a person has, when interacting with a product, system or service. Particularly in terms of how easy or enjoyable it is to use.
It includes all aspects of an end user’s interaction with a company, its services and its products. So UX is nearly everything, when you thing about it from a customers perspective.
